Indaux opens a warehouse in Delhi, India

Updated: Feb 22, 2023

India has been one of the countries hardest hit by the pandemic, with the second highest number of infections after the United States. Between March and June it suffered a strict confinement and the economy fell close to 24%. But Indaux's commitment to the Indian market is firm and the company has just opened a second warehouse in Delhi to supply customers in the north of the country.

Indaux established itself in India in 2015, opening a business subsidiary in Mumbai with Rajeev Okhandiar at the helm. In 2019 we expanded the facilities and moved the warehouse to a 25,000-square-foot (2,325-square-meter) location. In these years, under the guidance of commercial director Rachit Kumar, the Indian subsidiary has developed an extensive retail network with more than 1,200 points of sale in the country. More than half of these points are located in the north: Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab ... In addition, from the Mumbai headquarters product manufactured in Gipuzkoa is exported to the SAARC countries (Bangladesh, Bhutan, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka) The opening of a second warehouse in Delhi supports the effort made in such a difficult year by the Indian team,

Indaux continues to advance its expansion strategy in Asia, investing in a business that we hope will continue to advance along with the country. The forecasts are optimistic: the IMF estimates a growth for India of 11.5% for this year and 6.8% for 2022. In addition, India is very well positioned to face this new stage against the pandemic, since It is about to approve its own vaccine, from the Bharat Biotech laboratory, and produces in its territory that of AstraZeneca and the University of Oxford.
